CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A second man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left one man dead outside a southeast hookah bar.
Last Saturday, police responded to reports of a shooting outside the Portico Hookah Lounge on 35 St. SE.
Police allege two groups were involved in a dispute inside before they were asked to leave. Once outside, the fight escalated and shots were fired resulting in the death of one man.
The man has since been identified as Abdurahaman Oma Inris, 20, of Calgary.
Police arrested one man on Monday and a second suspect was arrested on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old man is facing charges of second-degree murder.
Investigators are also hoping to speak to witnesses who may have filmed the fight outside the bar.
“We will continue to pursue all individuals involved in this homicide,” said S/Sgt. Martin Schiavetta. “This shooting created a significant risk to the community and we are asking the people who have information that could assist investigators to come forward.”
Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Calgary police or Crime Stoppers.
