Mount Royal University confirms positive COVID-19 case

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Mount Royal University has announced one of its members who was on campus last week has tested positive for COVID-19.

The university is not releasing the name of the member but says that they are self-isolating.

Those who may have come into direct contact with the infected individual will be notified by AHS and other partner agencies.

In a release, the university says it will continue to do its best to handle the situation with help from AHS, but adds that this was “not surprising” and “it is realistic to expect that despite best efforts there may be more confirmed cases as the semester continues”.
