Over $150K of stolen equipment found on rural property

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A police raid on a rural property east of Calgary uncovered a treasure trove of stolen construction equipment valued at over $150,000.

On Aug. 20, Calgary police and RCMP discovered two bobcats, several skid steer attachments, trailers and a full front-end loader on the land.

Police said the majority of the stolen equipment has been returned to its owners.

RCMP said charges are pending against a 30-year-old man from Calgary who is already in custody on other property-related charges.
