Calgary police looking to speak to possible assault witness

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police are looking to speak with a man who might have seen an assault that happened over the weekend.

At around 9 a.m. on Saturday, an elderly man was attacked on the platform of the Sunnyside CTrain station.

The attack resulted in the man to fall onto the concrete and suffer severe head injuries. He remains in hospital and in critical condition.

A 36-year-old man from Calgary was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault.

Cameras in the area show that another man was on the platform just before the time of the attack and police would like to talk to him.
