EDMONTON – One additional COVID-19 death was reported Wednesday, along with 121 new cases.

The death of the woman in her 80s was connected to the Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre outbreak.

The province says the death was actually from Tuesday, but was missed because of a delay in the Alberta Health reporting system.

The total number of active cases in Alberta is 1,044.

Fifty people are still recovering in hospital, 13 people are in the ICU.
