Two people killed in crash north of Edmonton

WESTLOCK, ALTA (660 NEWS) – Two people have died following a crash north of Edmonton.

Westlock RCMP responding to the scene of a crash just before 2:45 Friday afternoon on Highway 2, north of Nestow.

A truck travelling northbound collided with an SUV heading southbound. The truck appears to have crossed into the southbound lanes.

The SUV had three people inside. Two women were pronounced dead on scene, and the third person was taken to hospital. The four people in the pickup truck were transported to an area hospital.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
