COVID-19 cases rise by 111, two more additional deaths in Alberta

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – COVID-19 cases remain in the triple digits, with 111 new cases reported Friday afternoon.
Two more deaths were also confirmed in the province, bringing the total number to 178.
Ninety-five people are in hospital, 19 of those are in the ICU.

Currently, there are 1,341 active COVID-19 cases in Alberta, with 703 in Calgary.
There are 232 active cases in the Edmonton area, 167 in the Central Zone, 141 in the South Zone, and 90 in the North.
Eight active cases are linked to an unknown area.
Over 8,500 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.
