Four new COVID-19 outbreaks declared in Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The province added four new COVID-19 outbreaks to its website Friday, following another triple day jump in daily cases.
Two of the outbreaks are located downtown, one is in the southwest and the final location is unknown due to it being a private gathering.
The outbreaks include Fire N Ice located on 16th Avenue S.W., which currently has 12 active cases linked to it.
Cactus Club on Stephen Avenue, with five active cases and one recovery.
Alberta has added to its outbreak list including:
-Cactus Club, Stephen Avenue, Calgary
– Fire N Ice Lounge
– Trinity Lodge Retirement Residence

The other two locations are the Trinity Lodge continuing care facility with five cases, and a private gathering resulting in 18 active cases.
Health officials declare an outbreak at a location where there are five or more cases.
Outbreaks are declared over when four weeks have passed with no new cases.
On Thursday, Calgary-Centre and Calgary-Elbow were added to the province’s “watch” list for COVID-19.
As of Friday, the Calgary zone had 385 active COVID-19 cases.
