Alberta records 82 COVID-19 cases Wednesday, no additional deaths

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) — Alberta health officials reported 82 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, pushing active cases in the province to 704.

There are 64 people hospitalized from the virus, seven of those in the intensive care unit.

The death toll in the province remained unchanged at 163.

The Calgary zone has the highest amount of active cases with 312, while the Edmonton zone has 194.

  • Edmonton zone: 194
  • Central zone: 61
  • South zone: 81
  • North zone: 53
  • Unknown: 3

As of Wednesday, 8,994 total COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the province, of those 8,127 have recovered.

Alberta has completed 552,276 tests.
