Three people killed in a floater plane crash in Leduc County

LEDUC COUNTY (660 NEWS) – RCMP are currently dealing with the aftermath of a plane crash in Leduc County that killed three people.

Police say at around 11 a.m. Friday they got reports that a floater plane had crashed in a field near Range Road 232 and Highway 623.

Once RCMP arrived they found the three occupants inside the plane.

“Unfortunately when we arrived we located three deceased occupants in the plane. We have contacted the Transportation Safety Board, they are going to be conducting the investigation into the cause of the crash,” said RCMP Corporal Lauren Scott.

Information about the occupants has not been released yet.

“Of course it is a very tragic scene and unfortunate for all the people who are involved and affected by this,” added Scott.
