Spoof video suggests Calgary should be named an NHL hub city

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Earlier this week, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney released a video showcasing Edmonton as a potential hub for the NHL should the league resume play this season.

The video, however, only shows Edmonton for a brief few seconds before highlighting the splendour of the Rocky Mountain.

The video was widely panned on social media and now JACK 96.9 660 NEWS’ sister station in Calgary, has put out a spoof video promoting our city as a potential hub for hockey.

Some of the highlights include the Calgary Tower, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and a herd of roaming elephants.

In a tweet, JACK-FM says Calgary is the “obvious choice” for the NHL to consider.

The NHL recently announced six cities were left in the running to be a hub city including Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver.
