CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Three people and a snake are safe after crews responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in a garage in Arbour Lake.

Firefighters arrived at the house on Arbour Stone Rise just before 1:00 a.m. on Monday and found large amounts of smoke and flames coming from the attached garage.

Three adults got out safely from the home and fire crews helped rescue a pet snake.

The fire was brought under control.

Two vehicles were destroyed and there was extensive damage to the garage but the blaze didn’t extend to the main home.

Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
