Emergency crews recover body from Bow River

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary police confirm a body has been pulled from the Bow River in the deep southeast on Friday.

Crews were on scene in the afternoon just south of Seton and Cranston.

Police are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and have limited details at this time.

The homicide unit did confirm they do not believe it is in connection to the Shane Smith case who has been missing since early June.

The identity of the body has not been released.

Police are not suspecting foul play in the incident.
