Two Calgary men arrested for kidnapping

CALGARY (660NEWS) – Two men from Calgary are facing charges in relation to a kidnapping in the Airdrie area earlier this month.

On June 2, RCMP said the victim was taken at gunpoint from Calgary and was assaulted before being able to flee the suspects in a rural area.

He suffered serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.

A 25-year-old and 30-year-old man were arrested on June 11 and are facing charges including kidnapping and robbery with a firearm.

A third suspect was arrested on unrelated charges during the investigation.

Currently, police are not looking for any other suspects and do not believe this to be a random incident.
