CALGARY (660 NEWS) – As camping resumes across the country starting Monday, some popular spots in Alberta will not be easy access.
That is because Parks Canada is suspending its shuttle services to some areas to ensure physical distancing is taking place.
“Lake Louise to Moraine Lake and also to Lake O’Hara. So, there will be no shuttle services in the Lake Lousie area and no shuttle service in Yoho National Park up to Lake O’Hara,” Jed Cochrane with Parks Canada said.
Cochrane says they cannot ensure social distancing on the buses.
Park-goers will still have access to the parking lots at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, but there will be limited spots.
Lake O’Hara will still be accessible but only on foot.
Cochrane adds anyone who reserved the Lake O’Hara shuttle and paid the random draw fee or even booked a campground will be able to get a full refund.
