One new COVID-19 death, cases rise by 49 in Alberta

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – One more Albertan has died from COVID-19 related complications in the province.

The latest death was reported in the Edmonton Zone. The total number of fatalities in Alberta now sits at 152.

In Thursday’s daily provincial update posted online, health officials recorded 49 new cases of the virus.

There are currently 489 active cases across the province, 34 of those are currently in hospital, six of which are in the ICU.

As of Thursday, 6,938 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Alberta.
