Bogus city of Calgary account pops up on Twitter

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The City of Calgary has a smarmy, social media doppelganger.
A parody city of Calgary Twitter account has popped up on the platform.
It doesn’t claim to be a parody. Its bio mirrors the Twitter bio of the official city of Calgary account.
Its tweets, however, make it clear it’s not speaking for city hall.
The city’s official twitter account is @cityofcalgary – all one word. It also has a blue checkmark, signifying it’s a verified account.
The fake account goes by @city_calgary.
