Two more men wanted for Calgary Eau Claire shooting

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Additional warrants have been issued for two suspects in connection to the murder of Benjamin Virtucio.

Previously, 26-year-old Abdullahi Barakobe was arrested and charged on June 6 and set to appear in court on June 22.

As of June 9, two additional nation-wide arrest warrants were issued for Mahad Sayid Haji Barakobe, 27, and Mehdi Al Khouzaii, 22.

 

Both are facing charges of second-degree murder and kidnapping with a firearm.

However, the two have not been able to be found and now investigators are asking for help in locating them.

“This investigation is not over. We will continue to pursue anyone who had involvement in the events of Friday, June 5, that led to the unnecessary death of Benjamin,” Homicide Unit Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta said in a release.

“Violence such as this is completely unacceptable in our City. The shooting took place in a highly public area and we are lucky no one else was injured as a result.”
