Calgary police lay numerous firearm charges following weekend shooting

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Two men have been charged in a shooting that took place in the northeast over the weekend.

On Tuesday, 25-year-old Terrell Chol and 22-year-old Marcell Divon Simms were charged with multiple firearms and other offences related to the shooting.

Some of the charges Chol faces include one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime.

Simms has been charged with one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, one count of unauthorized of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm obtained by and one count of possession of a firearm obtained by crime.

A dark coloured BMW was involved in the shooting, and police are looking for information from the public regarding the car as well as any of its occupants.
