CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The City of Calgary is happy with how people are acting as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

City officials said no tickets were handed out this past weekend, as Parks Ambassadors spoke with over 7,200 people.

A total of 229 warnings were given out to those not following COVID-19 precautions.

Dozens of businesses were also inspected to make sure they were following the rules, with no tickets being issued.

As part of the final phase of Stage 1 of Calgary’s relaunch plan, day camps and summer schools were allowed to reopen Monday with some restrictions, and there is more flexibility for places of worship and funeral services.

Also, recycling operations have resumed completely at the Cascades Recovery Facility following an outbreak, so your blue bin will be picked up and properly sorted.

The City of Calgary has also moved to provide one live update a week with the next one scheduled for June 4 at 1:00 p.m.
