CALGARY (660 NEWS) – One man is in hospital after a fire broke out in southwest Calgary.
At around 2 pm on Monday, the Calgary Fire department responded to reports of a structure fire in the community of Glendale.
Fire crews arrived at a townhouse near St. Gregory School, across from 26 ave southwest that was engulfed in flames and smoke.
One person self-evacuated from their second-story suite and was transported to the hospital.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the suite of origin.
There were no other reported injuries after 9 suites were temporarily evacuated.
Calgary Fire Department crews, including a Fire investigator, remain on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
