Calgary man sentenced to 40 years in 2017 murders

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A man convicted of killing two people in a Superstore parking lot three years ago has been sentenced to 40 years in prison with no chance of parole.

Christian Oulette was found guilty of first-degree and second-degree murder in the deaths of Colin Reitberger and Anees Amr in May 2017.

The court heard Oulette wanted to kill Reiberger and that Amr was only shot because he was with the intended target.

Another man was found guilty of manslaughter in one of the killings and will be sentenced later this year.
