One person dead following collision in Brooks

BROOKS (660 NEWS) – One person has died, and another is critically injured after a pickup truck they were in was hit by an oncoming CP train near Brooks Friday morning.

The 50-year-old passenger in the pickup from Lethbridge was pronounced dead in hospital, while the 60-year-old driver was airlifted to Foothills hospital in life-threatening condition.

The rail line was shut down for three hours so officers could investigate the crash.
