Father of Cargill worker dies of COVID-19

Calgary (660 NEWS) – The father of a Cargill plant worker has died after being admitted to hospital with COVID-19.
UFCW Local 401, the union that represents Cargill workers, informed CityNews about the death Wednesday morning.
Philippine Council of Alberta (PCA) confirmed the man is a Philippine national who was visiting Alberta.

It has contacted the Philippine Consulate office.
PCA says the Cargill worker tested positive for COVID-19 in early April, with his father later also testing positive.
The group said the man had been in Alberta since early this year as a tourist, he had underlying health conditions and was admitted to ICU recently.
