97 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, two additional deaths

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – 97 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Alberta Saturday.

The new cases bring the provincial total to 5,670. During this afternoon’s update, health officials also recorded two additional death.

The total number of fatalities in the province is now 94.

Calgary has 3,775 cases while 501 are in the Edmonton area.

Cases in continuing care facilities still remain a pressing concern for health officials, as there are 597 cases in care facilities.

On a positive note, 2,534 people have recovered from the virus.
