CALGARY (660 NEWS) -Three Calgary men are feeling the blow to their wallets after not following physical distancing rules put into place to limit COVID-19 contamination.

Calgary Emergency Management Deputy Chief Sue Henry says a few $1,200 fines were handed out to three men in Lindsay Park after they “fragrantly disobeyed” social distancing measures and would not separate.

As well, Henry says they also handed out three $400 tickets to a few people using a closed and fenced off skatepark.

She says, since Friday, officers have done more than 360 patrols and issued 140 warnings to people regarding social distancing but did add that people seem to be getting the message.
