CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The City of Calgary is extending the ban on large public gatherings until the end of August.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi says that means there will be no Canada Day festivities and more than 100 other festivals and events are cancelled.
The move comes one day after the Calgary Stampede announced it was not going ahead in early July because of the pandemic.
The 2020 Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo was also officially cancelled this past week.
Everyone who bought tickets to that event will be immediately refunded and you won’t have to take any action.
