CALGARY (660 NEWS) – It’s a sure sign of spring as city street sweepers are out starting Monday.
The city will still follow a set schedule and post signs in a neighbourhood at least 24 hours in advance.
With many Calgarians working from home, the city will not be ticketing or towing vehicles that remain on the street.
If you didn't move your vehicle, avoid a ticket by sweeping up leftover gravel, double bagging it & placing in your black bin. In July, we'll perform a street-by-street assessment of compliance/leftover material & will cancel tickets based remaining material on roads. 5/7

However, you’re required to sweep up leftover gravel, double bag it and place in your black bin.
The city is also reducing the number of hours sweeping during the day.
Crews will only be sweeping Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and not on statutory holidays.
