165 new cases of COVID-19, one additional death

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) — Alberta health officials confirmed 165 new cases and one additional death of COVID-19 in Alberta on Saturday.

Total cases in the province now sit at 2,562, with 51 people having died from the virus so far.

Continuing care facilities continue to be hit hard with 293 of Alberta’s cases coming from the homes — as well as 32 deaths.

Nearly 50 per cent of Albertans have recovered from the virus so far with more than 90,000 Albertans tested.

Currently, there are over 1,800 cases in the Calgary area.
