CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary’s biggest infrastructure project has been pushed back to June amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The original meeting was set for April 23 when council members were supposed to get the final recommendations on the route then vote on it.
The City of Calgary says recent restrictions put in place on public gatherings to help stop the spread of COVID-19 has affected the ability to hold in-person meetings.
“Deferring will give us an opportunity to extend the time citizens will have to give feedback and allow the Green Line teams to provide an update on areas we are still exploring and respond to stakeholder questions we’ve received,” says Michael Thompson, General Manager Green Line.
