Premier Kenney gives thanks to Alberta truck drivers

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) — During Wednesday’s update, Premier Jason Kenney took time to thank a group of unsung heroes, Alberta truck drivers.

Kenney says he recently drove on the QEII between Edmonton and Calgary and saw lots of trucks, each one of them carrying the essentials.

Kenney says on behalf of the government and people of Alberta, he wants to salute and thank those drivers for all they are doing in these circumstances.

The premier wants all Albertans to find a way to acknowledge and thank the truckers for keeping store shelves stocked.

Kenney also wanted to give thanks to restaurants such as McDonald’s and Tim Hortons who have stepped up to serve these truckers.

He also gave a shout out to Alberta Transportation for reopening most roadside rest stops.
