CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A third person has died from COVID-19 in Alberta.
Forty new cases have been confirmed since yesterday, bringing the provincial total to 661.
There are now 408 cases in Calgary, 149 in the Edmonton area, 46 in the Central Zone, 45 in the North Zone, and 12 in the South Zone.
Forty-one people are in hospital and 14 are in the ICU and three deaths reported in the province.
There is also one case in a zone that has yet to be confirmed.
McKenzie Towne Long Term Care has 11 new cases identified, bringing the total to 26 at that facility.
Thre are no reported changes for Rosedale on the Park and Shepherd’s Care Kensington Valley.
Up to 60 of the 661 cases may be due to community transmission.
