Cases of COVID-19 continue to rise at U of C

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The University of Calgary has been made aware that two new cases of COVID-19 were found in individuals in its community.

On March 21, health officials informed the U of C a person associated with the Haskayne School of Business and an individual on the Spy Hill Campus were among the 31 new cases of COVID-19 found Saturday.

This adds to Friday’s announcement that two other people associated with the Cumming School of Medicine tested positive for the illness.

The university is now directing all faculty and staff to work from home until further notice and is encouraging all students in residence that can go home, to do so by Sunday, March 29.

The school says it will continue to accommodate students that can’t go home, including international students.
