Three CCSD students test positive for COVID-19: spokesperson

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A spokesperson for the┬áCalgary Catholic School District has confirmed that three students have tested positive for COVID-19.

The information being sent to parents in a letter Thursday afternoon.

In an email sent to 660 NEWS, at least one of the students is said to have attended Father Lacombe High School.

“I have been contacted by Alberta Health Services to notify me that we have had a person in our school who tested positive for COVID-19,” Principal of Father Lacombe Chris Brochu said.

It’s been just five days since school has been canceled in Alberta and this is the first reported case of a student to test positive for the disease.
