  • Blue carts will continue to be collected every week.
  • City landfills will only be accepting credit or debit cards.

People are being asked to visit calgary.ca/collection to check their collection schedule.

Animal Services

The City will be suspending its no-cost spay/neuter program. All previous appointments are to be canceled and indefinitely postponed.

The Animal Services Centre is also asking that no stray animals are brought to the facility unless it’s in distress or injured.

Calgary Community Response Fund

The City of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, United Way of Calgary and Area is establishing a COVID-19 Community Response Fund.

This fund is being made to support community social service agencies who are working to keep Calgarians safe during the pandemic.

This fund will allow for a city-wide fund that will make it easier for people to contribute to.

2020 Census

As expected, the City will be postponing the 2020 Census.

The belief is that the census will be pushed to an appropriate time later this year, or possibly next year if need be.
