CALGARY (660 News) – The in-house daycare at Suncor’s Calgary HQ is closed after a child contracted coronavirus.

The Pump-kin Patch Child Care Centre, which is operated by a third-party will be closed until March 23rd and families have been directed to quarantine until March 20th.

“Suncor employees who have children in the pumpkin patch will not be coming into work and are being advised to self-quarantine until the end of the day on March 20th and we are working to facilitate any remote work where possible,” says Erin Rees, Spokesperson for Suncor.

Suncor is also asking that all their employees actively self-monitor for any symptoms of Covid-19.

The age of the child infected could not be confirmed nor the number of children attending the centre.
