Budget protests in Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Former Premier, Rachel Notely made an appearance in Calgary on Feb 29 to lead protests against The UCP’s budget cuts.

Hundreds of Calgarians took to the street to protest the 2020 Alberta Budget

Protests happened all over the city, as well as Lethbridge, Banff, and Red Deer, over concerns regarding education and healthcare cuts.

Protesters are not happy about the increase of class sizes, job losses at Post Secondary institutes, and new taxes for doctors.
