Hitmen beat visiting Winnipeg with thousands of students in stands

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The Calgary Hitmen opened a three-game homestand with a 4-1 win over the visiting Winnipeg ICE.

The Thursday afternoon action marked the club’s fourth annual TELUS BE BRAVE #ENDBullying game, with over 12,000 Calgary and area students in attendance.
Kyle Olson led the Hitmen with two goals and an assist, while Brayden Peters made 26 saves to record the win.

This past weekend, Calgary clinched a playoff berth for the eighth time in nine years.
