Calgary museum celebrates National Aviation Day and 111 years of powered flight

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Today is National Aviation Day and the Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary is celebrating Canada’s role in aviation history.

To celebrate, the museum is offering free guided tours, a free photo booth, and a discounted price for admission.

If you’ve ever wanted to check out the restoration of the 1942 Hawker Hurricane completed last year, today is definitely your best bet.

The museum on McCall Way is celebrating 111 years of powered flights in Canada.

Volunteers will also be available to provide information about Canada’s role in aviation history.
