A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after being attacked in Fish Creek Park on Saturday.

According to police, a man in his 50’s was walking on a path located on the south bank of the creek when an unknown person struck him from behind.

The suspect robbed the victim before taking off.

Police don’t believe this attack is connected to another random incident where a 15-year-old boy was stabbed at an off-leash dog park in the community of Braeside on Saturday.

The suspect is described as a man, 40 to 50 years old, with brown skin, black hair and a medium build.

He was wearing a black top with white dots and black pants.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the police (403-266-1234) or crime stoppers (1-800-222-8477).
