Would-be Hamburglers arrested at Airdrie McDonald’s

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A pair of Calgary men are not “Lovin’ it” after being busted for fraud at a McDonald’s restaurant in Airdrie.

On Jan. 28, the would-be Hamburglers were using a stolen credit card when staff noticed and alerted police.

RCMP arrived an arrested two men, aged 18 and 20, and three minors, a boy and two girls.

After the arrests, officers then searched the vehicle of the detained.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered 1.5 pounds of Psylocibin, also known as magic mushrooms, in addition to 28 grams of cocaine.

The two men, both from Calgary, now face charges including obtaining food by fraud and possession of a controlled substance for trafficking. One of the two also had outstanding warrants in Lethbridge.

The minors are also being charged with fraud and possession.
