One person dead after crash on Stoney Trail NE

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – One person has died after a crash on Stoney Trail between Harvest Hills Blvd and Deerfoot Trail NE.
Spokesperson with EMS Stuart Brideaux said paramedics were called to the crash site around 7:15 Tuesday morning.
“On arrival, our EMS crews determined one person involved in that collision has been declared deceased. EMS remains on scene as they clear up other details.”
As of 11:45 a.m., police have opened two lanes of eastbound Stoney Trail that were closed following the crash.

Calgary police said the driver lost control after trying to cross over three lanes of traffic.
Right now they believe speed may be a factor.
