CPS seeking Cowboys robbery suspect

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Police have issued warrants for a 22-year-old man in connection to a robbery last summer at Cowboys Casino.

Jonah Coy of Calgary is wanted on numerous charges, including robbery with a prohibited firearm and unlawful confinement.

He’s described as standing 5′ 10″ tall, with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.

Police say tips from the public helped them identify Coy, who is accused of taking part in the robbery on July 14, 2019, at the Casino.

Police say around 1:15 a.m, someone at the casino met three people who talked him into going to one of their vehicles.

Once there, it’s alleged one of the suspects pulled a gun on the victim, demanding bank cards and PINs.

After that person left the vehicle, they tracked down a nearby police officer and two of the suspects were arrested while trying to flee.

Police were unable to track down the third suspect, but they did find weapons inside one of the suspect’s vehicles.

Anyone with information about Coy is asked to contact Calgary Police at 403-266-1234, or through Crime Stoppers.
