Police investigating ‘hate-motivated’ incident in the S.E.

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary Police are investigating what they say is a hate crime after a vehicle was vandalized and spray-painted with racist slurs.

The incident took place in Douglas Glen Crescent in the city’s southeast between 7:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. Wednesday night.

A 2004 silver Honda Accord had its windows smashed out and racist words were spray-painted on the hood and roof of the vehicle.

Investigators believe the vehicle was targeted based on the ethnicity of the owner.
