CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The man who trespassed onto a rancher’s property is now wanted by Calgary police.
Police have a warrant for the arrest of Ryan Watson for drug possession, stolen property, and failing to appear in court.
Watson sued rancher Eddie Maurice after he was shot while trespassing on Maurice’s property near Okotoks.
The lawsuit claimed Watson attempted to flee once he was found on Maurice’s property. That’s when Maurice fired a warning shot in Watson’s direction that struck his right forearm, causing severe damage.
Maurice filed a counter lawsuit shortly after. Both lawsuits were dropped last week.

Maurice was initially charged with aggravated assault and weapons offences, but the Crown dropped those charges in June 2018.
