RED DEER (660 NEWS) – A community health centre in Red Deer needed to be evacuated Thursday morning because of a carbon monoxide leak.

Alberta Health Services said it’s currently working the City of Red Deer to find out what caused the carbon monoxide leak at the Bremner Avenue Health Centre and repair it.

On Twitter, AHS said, “The safety of our staff & clients is paramount. At this time the facility remains closed & we are contacting those with appointments to rebook. We are working to find alternative arrangements for staff to complete necessary clinical work.”

There is no estimate yet as to when it will be re-opened.
