CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The province’s electrical system’s operator has returned to normal conditions after issuing an emergency alert.
On Thursday morning, the Alberta Electric Systems Operator (AESO) issued the level one emergency alert following a spike in demand.
The alert meant the operator may have to start using reserves to power the province.
We returned to normal grid conditions and will keep you updated if anything changes. Thank you to our system controllers for all of your great work! Check out our website to watch a video on how they operate the grid. https://t.co/Uo0Rz1S356
