CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The NHL’s three stars of the week have been announced, and among them sits a familiar face covered by a Flame’s goalie mask.

Calgary goaltender Cam Talbot was one of the stars, including Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy and Rangers defenceman Tony DeAngelo.

Following his performances in their last three games, the Flames have rocket-launched to take first place in the Pacific.

With help from fellow netminder David Rittich, Talbot and the Flames remain perfect in 2020 so far.

Talbot’s .953 save percentage and 1.67 goals-against average helped the Flames secure clutch wins in important games like the second of Battle of Alberta against his old team, the Oilers, on Saturday.

The 32-year-old, 6’4″ goalie came to Calgary after being an unrestricted free agent following a trade from the Oilers to the Flyers.

After losing four of his first five starts of the season, Talbot has turned things around and has been a key asset to the Flame’s recent success.
