All Faiths Invited to United Nations Interfaith Conference in Calgary

Just days into this new year have seen increasing tensions in Iran and a terrorist attack in Kenya.

A United Nations event coming up in Calgary was spearheaded to highlight that the large majority of the global population just want peace.

U-N World Interfaith Harmony Week will be held in hundreds of cities next month to promote cooperation and education — and to celebrate diversity.

Calgary organizer Dalton Harding says education builds bridges.

“We all need to be educated.  We all need to learn from one another and to appreciate our diversity and we do that by getting to know each other.  It’s building relationships, it’s about education, it’s about really sharing our humanity with each other,” said Harding.

Calgary’s efforts were honoured by King Abdullah II of Jordan back in 2017.

You can register for the convention in the first week of February:
