Calgary homicide unit investigate suspicious death

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A suspicious death downtown early Sunday morning now has the Calgary Homicide Unit investigating.
Shortly before 5 a.m., police were called to the area near the intersection of 11 Avenue and 1 Street S.E. for reports of a man in medical distress.

He was transported to hospital where he later died.

So far there is no indication that this is related to Saturday’s shooting in Saddleridge that killed one man and left another in hospital.

An autopsy will take place later in the week to identify the victim.
